Lying in a private hidden valley tucked away in the idyllic Dorset countryside is a special place where fresh air and rosy cheeks are part and parcel of your holiday experience.
With a range of activities indoor and out, there’s something for everyone, making it ideal for families, friends, couples and people of all ages.
With breathtaking views across the rolling countryside, Luccombe Holidays is part of a 650 acre working farm with eleven guest cottages. We are located within a 10 minute walk to the postcard perfect village of Milton Abbas and 30 minutes drive to the Jurassic Coast.
Also just a few minutes walk away, down the farm track, is Dorset’s Crafty Barn & Tearoom, where you can enjoy delicious panini, soups, ice cream and cake, as well as a selection of hot and cold drinks.
You set the pace at Luccombe Farm. Kick start the day with a morning visit to see the animals or perhaps a countryside hack at the riding centre?
Fun on the farm doesn’t start and finish with the animals. On-site we have an indoor leisure complex and heated swimming pool, tennis court, garden games, playground, games room, table tennis and even an Elf and Fairy Door Hunt!

Our Cottages
Our eleven self-catered cottages (all graded 4* by Visit England) are traditional in style but strictly modern when it comes to comfort and facilities. Six of the cottages are pet-friendly, so furry family members are welcome too!
The cottages range from sleeping two guests to seven and all feature fully equipped kitchens and fast reliable WiFi.
We provide bath towels and a starter pack of toiletries so that you can pack lighter. And baby equipment is available for our little guests.

What else to do
We are located in an area of outstanding natural beauty in Dorset where you’ll find a myriad of activities and places to visit.
For a nature trail or energising walk you don’t need to go far as there are child-friendly paths all around our 650 acre farm. The Dorset Jubilee Trail also passes through Luccombe.
The pretty village of Milton Abbas is a 10 minute walk away. Here you can find chocolate box thatched cottages, a welcoming pub and tea rooms, as well as a farm shop for your daily needs.
The county town of Dorchester is an easy visiting distance from Luccombe Farm and for the grown ups we recommend a day trip to Langham Wine Estate.
Finally, your holiday wouldn’t be complete without a day trip to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site where beachcombing, fossil hunting, and sand castle competitions are par for the course.

Luccombe Farm is a beautiful, tranquil place that I have been coming back to for years. I’ve enjoyed a wonderful family wedding here and several family birthdays in this beautiful setting. I know for a fact that the hosts spend a lot of time, effort and money on making sure that their guests have everything they need and so much more. They are constantly working hard to improve the experience of staying at Luccombe with lovely animals, interesting trail walks, fun games and entertainment, sports and leisure facilities, beautiful places to relax and unwind – I’m amazed at how much on the farm is there specifically to give guests the perfect holiday. I can’t wait to be back there again.
It’s one of the best places we’ve been with our daughter (age 4) there so many things to do all around the farm and it is so beautiful, clean and well maintained. We had the swimming pool all to ourselves,we had a barbecue,fed the animals and played in the game room ❤️ I highly recommend it 💚

The accommodation was absolutely spotless when we arrived, and I saw lovely ‘Bev’ spending hours on one cottage – everything is COVID compliant and the owners are wonderful, so lovely in communications we’ve had.
Even with rubbish weather, there’s so much to do here, the pool is fantastic, the Garden games, elf door hunt, awesome animals to see and talk to, wonderful views, gorgeous surrounding villages.
My little man (3 year old) has been horseriding every morning and loving having so much nature to explore.
There are so many thoughtful touches, from the welcome packs, info packs, well-stocked kitchen equipment, to the flowers and bathroom toiletries.
We are only halfway through our week and we don’t want to leave! Just looking at dates to be able to come back down again.

We just had the most wonderful few days on the farm with our 1 and 3 year old. The cottages are really well equipped, the hosts are extremely friendly and welcoming and the farm is idyllic. Can’t wait to go back again!

Special Occasions
Mintern Barn
Family friendly farm stays aside. The stunning peaceful location of Luccombe Farm makes a picture perfect setting for weddings, special celebrations or corporate events.
On-site we have Mintern Barn with its dining room for up to 25 people and a larger room which can sit up to 75 guests. There is also plenty of space for tipis and marquees in the gardens for outdoor events and dining.
Our cottages sleep up to 38 guests perfect for small to midsize gatherings and no need to look for separate accommodation.
